Bhanu while speaking about this said," After Thamirabharani I was not able to come up in my cinema career because of my father George. He started demanding Rs 25 Lakhs as my salary when ever an offer comes up.
The producers also demanded me to don glamour roles. That is also one of the reasons for not acting in Tamil films. I was not in mind because of the bitter incidents that took place continuously in my family.
Now I have become very clear. Now my whole time job is cinema only. I don’t want to talk about my family matters any more. I am back in action through the films Azhagar Malai, Yaar Indha Devathai and Sattapadi Kutram. I am also acting in two Malayalam films. I am pairing with Dhilip in one film and in another film with Vinu Mohan. I want to homely roles like Jyothika and Sneha."

However like any other star Sonia denied the gossips and revealed that he is just her buddy. She also added “We are forever good friends and I have been in contact with him on mobile. Very rarely we meet at shooting locations, functions and social gatherings. There is nothing more than this. We have of late met during the Celebrity Cricket match too. Just if two people talk it doesn’t mean that they are into any relation. I don’t find anything wrong!

Mani Ratnam’s Ravanan received mixed reviews from kollywood circle and the bollywood version Raavan bombed at the box office. So he is taking no chances with his next venture, Kalki's Ponniyin Selvan. Only the best will be approved by Mani Ratnam in terms of cast and crew and he has even roped in prolific writer Naan kavavul fame Jayamohan to help in the script department.
Since Ponniyin Selvan is going to be a big – budget epic adventure, he has turned to Ulaganayagan for advice as the latter has some experience in the same genre since he worked on Marudha Nayagam. The director wished to obtain a few hundred horses for the shoot and Kamal suggested he get them from France as he himself used well–trained horses from the same place.
Kamal also recommended some writers- Poet Puviarasu and Ira. Murugan to the director to help with the script and Mani was grateful for the timely help from a fellow genius.
